This rooftop garden is large and perfect for anyone to hang out or relax. It is a popular spot for tourists because of its great location. The rooftop bar is only open to people over 21 years old after 19:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. All ages are welcome on other days and before 19:00. On weekends, it can be very crowded and there may be a queue, especially after 23:00. Dress up, and gentlemen must wear a shirt and leather shoes!

JIMMY is located in the MordernHaus SoHo hotel. You need to take the stairs and then the elevator to get to the bar. The rooftop is small but a great place to have a drink by the pool. There is also an indoor bar. From the rooftop you can enjoy the views of downtown and midtown Manhattan. It is chic and trendy in SoHo, so dress smartly and bring your passport.

Gansevoort Rooftop is a place for parties in all kinds of situations. This rooftop bar in the Meatpacking District is a great choice for those who want to relax with a drink and a snack after a long day. It is also a great place to hang out and meet new people on weekends. This rooftop bar is very popular, so if you want to visit in the evening or on weekends, make a reservation in advance. Otherwise, be prepared to queue. During the day, you may not need to show your passport or be under 21 years old to enter the bar, but after 19:00 in the evening, this is impossible. Remember that you need to abide by the dress code.

If you want a rooftop bar near Times Square, you can go to 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar. The bar is located in Margaritaville Resort. Electric Lemon is located on the 24th floor of the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. From the outdoor bar, you can enjoy a unique view of the Hudson River and the surrounding buildings. The indoor bar offers a view of the Vessel. This rooftop restaurant is a great base from which to visit the Edge Observation Deck. If you wish, you can also have a bite to eat here. Please note that it can be very windy outside.

RT60 is the rooftop bar of the Hard Rock Hotel, located near Times Square. For this reason, it is often crowded, so reservations are recommended. There are views and seats on both sides of the rooftop, and from one side you can get a glimpse of Times Square. You can also choose to sit inside or at the bar, where there are often DJs. The indoor area is the dining area, and the outdoor area is where you can enjoy a drink while admiring the beautiful view of the Meatpacking district.

The Roof Bar at the PUBLIC Hotel is one of the rooftop bars in New York and one of the best rooftop bars with the best views. The hotel is located in the Lower East Side of New York. It offers a unique view of downtown and midtown New York. The Roof Bar offers a 360-degree view of New York. From here, you can see all the tall buildings in Manhattan, including the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center. Such a view is simply unparalleled when paired with the sunset. Between 17:00 and 19:00, you can easily enter the bar and there is no need to abide by the very strict dress code. In the evening, especially on weekends, this is one of the most fashionable hot spots in New York, so the entry rules become more strict and there are queues. When you enter the PUBLIC Hotel, do not take the escalator upstairs. Instead, go around to the straight stairs at the back, which will take you directly to The Roof Bar.

The Panorama Room on Roosevelt Island is the island’s only rooftop bar, offering unique views of Manhattan and the Queensboro Bridge. Grab a cocktail or beer and head to the terrace. The bar feels like a lounge, with small plates that focus on seafood. You can use your MetroCard to take the Roosevelt Island Aerial Tramway to and from this rooftop bar, which will add more color to your visit. Remember to bring your ID and dress appropriately.

There are only a few rooftop bars in New York’s Financial District, but none are quite like Overstory! This rooftop bar features an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy 360-degree views from the 64th floor, which makes it the highest rooftop bar on my list. From here, you can see the Brooklyn Bridge, the surrounding buildings, and the twinkling lights of Midtown Manhattan, and it’s also a great place to watch the sunset. This is my favorite rooftop bar in NYC! Overstory is located at 70 Pine Street, a landmark Art Deco building. Upon entering the building, you’ll be greeted by a table downstairs. The exterior of the building and the elevators are an experience in themselves. You have to dress appropriately to get in, but on weekdays, they don’t make too much of a fuss about that. On weekends, come early so you can find a spot. The bar has both an indoor and outdoor area. Here, you can walk around the building and enjoy the view with a drink in your hand. It’s a great spot to go on a warm summer evening.
